K. K. Aggarwal (cardiologist)
K. K. Aggarwal is an Indian cardiologist and the president of the Heart Care Foundation of India, a nongovernmental organization. The Government of India honored him, in 2010, with the award of Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the field of medicine.
==Biography==
Aggarwal graduated in medicine from Nagpur University in 1979 and obtained an MD from the same university in 1983. He is the senior consultant at Moolchand Medcity, New Delhi, India.
Aggarwal has published 16 books on health, 6 textbook chapters on echocardiography and several articles in national and international medical journals.〔〔 One of the pioneers of streptokinase therapy for cardiological purposes in India,〔 Agarwal has been honored with the B. C. Roy Award, the highest Indian award in the medical category, in 2005.〔〔 He is also a recipient of the Dr. D. S. Mungekar National IMA Award in 1991,〔 the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award in 1993,〔 and the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award in 2003.〔〔〔 In 2010, he was included in the Padma Shri.〔
Aggarwal is secretary of the Indian Medical Association and the chairman and chief editor of IJCP group of Publications.
